Amargosa River

Winter rains had flooded-out the direct mountain pass into Death Valley from the East, so I entered the valley from the South. My early morning drive on the long, pot-holed dirt road dead-ended at the rare and fast-moving waters of the Amargosa River, which had flooded Badwater (279 feet below sea-level) with enough water for kayaking!
